There are three ways to earn points in the Crazy Joe event:
Defending Your Castle (Highest Points) Joe will attack your castle from levels 1 to 19. If you kill over 50% of Joe's forces and successfully defend your castle, you will earn points based on the number of Joes killed. These points are determined by the total kills, regardless of individual kills. This means that even if your castle has no troops, you can still earn 100% of the points if allied troops kill 100% of Joe's forces.
Defending Other Players' Castles (50% of #1) When you help defend another player’s castle and kill Joe there, participants receive half of the defense points, distributed according to their kill percentage. If you defend an empty ally castle with 100% of your own troops, you will receive 50% of the points that the castle owner would earn. However, if the ally has their own troops in the castle, the kill ratio for allied reinforcements will decrease, reducing your points. As the ally doesn’t receive additional points, the total points will decrease. Therefore, leaving your own castle empty maximizes alliance points.
Reminder:
Crazy Joe attacks online members during waves 7, 14, and 17. The points you get from these waves get doubled, which is why online members are encouraged to send reinforcements to those who are online too. If the city you’re defending has an offline player, you won’t receive defense points during the said waves.
Defending the Alliance Headquarters At levels 10 and 20, Joe attacks the alliance headquarters instead of individual castles. When you send reinforcements to the headquarters, points are distributed based on kill ratios. Due to troop capacity limits, high-power members send a certain number of troops to defend the headquarters.
The best way to earn high scores in the Joe event is to defend your castle with strong reinforcements while sending your own troops to weak (empty) cities to gain additional points. If all of your troops are assisting other cities and you don’t receive reinforcements, your city will burn early, causing you to lose points (Joe's attack stops after burning twice). Therefore, you should defend your city with your own troops if reinforcements are unavailable.
Before the event, send reinforcements to cities close to yours. If an allied city burns twice, return the reinforcements to another intact city. Similarly, if your castle burns twice, send back all reinforcements provided to you.
In this game, the rally leader’s heroes (the castle owner in defense) apply all three skills of the expedition heroes, while other members' reinforcements apply only the first expedition skill of their first hero. Thus, set your three strongest heroes in your castle. Free-to-play players often use Molly, Sergey, and Bahiti. If you have Natalia, Zinman, or Jeronimo, choose stronger heroes instead. Exclude monster heroes like Gina or gathering-skilled blue heroes, and set your strongest three heroes on the castle wall, checking "cannot be deployed". Keep them fixed until the castle burns twice.
When sending reinforcements to another castle, set your first hero as one with a defense or attack skill. Heroes with attack skills include Jessie, Jeser, and Seoyoon, as seen in bear hunting. Patrick and Sergey are typical defense heroes. Review the first expedition skill of each of your heroes to position them effectively for reinforcement. If suitable heroes are unavailable, it’s better to send reinforcements without any heroes, as only the top four reinforcement skills are applied, and including heroes like Jina or blue heroes can be disruptive.
If your reinforcements in another player's castle suffer casualties, the wounded will move to your own infirmary. Healing them will keep troops stationed in your castle, which reduces reinforcement kill points. Therefore, it’s advisable to avoid healing early on.
When Joe attacks the headquarters at level 10, recall one troop unit, heal them, and send them back as reinforcements with the treated troops. After level 10, Joe’s attacks become stronger, so unless there’s sufficient reinforcement capacity, it’s better to heal troops to defend your castle further.
If you have a surplus of troops even after sending reinforcements, prioritize deploying infantry soldiers. In this game, all kills occur in the order of infantry, lancers, and archers. Hence, early on, only infantry units earn kill points. When shield soldiers are fully wounded, spearmen and archers begin to accumulate points.
You have to defend your castle for a few attacks from the event. It's about 19 attacks after some time intervals. The higher layers of attack you defend yourself, the higher your event points will be. Also, you can earn points by defending your alliance members.
